The Course section of iTao (kana → JLPT N1) is built on open data. The scene vocabulary, passages and notes elsewhere in the app are compiled and edited by the iTao team, with AI assistance in drafting entries and translations. Because the sources below include CC BY-SA material, the compiled course dataset (vocabulary, kanji and example sentences as they appear in the Course section) is made available under the CC BY-SA 4.0 licence. The JMdict and KANJIDIC2 files are the property of the EDRDG and are used in conformance with the Group's licence.
